"The Sonosopher" is the tentative title of a full-length, feature documentary film that is currently in production. This film will document the life and creative works of poet, polyartist, sonosopher, scholar, teacher, mentor...Alex Caldiero. The documentary and this blog are a portion of a greater, ongoing effort to record, document, and archive Alex's life and works.

This is such a great interview/article...this concept of 'bio-texts' that Alex has been exploring, where every bit of a process is recorded and archived and has its place within any size or portion of larger work and/or can viewed in its own light, is really at the heart of our documentary project. We are exploring how to apply it to the documentary project itself. I also want to explore a general method or broad set of guidelines for all sorts of different undertakings...like how do you apply this concept to a painting? Student coursework? Teaching? A film? A building? A life? Etc.

As it turns out, I think it all extends into every portion of life, every activity, all the spaces and environments we live in...everything becomes a process within a process within a process, where (like the bio-texts) nothing can be disregarded...life is an artistic undertaking...a process of understanding

This blog, for instance, with postings and then the conversations that go on about them is interactive and ongoing -- a fuller kind of documentation.
